The Government of Assam continues its flagship initiative, the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025, to empower meritorious students with mobility support. Launched in 2020, this scheme aims to reward academic excellence by offering free scooters (electric or petrol-based) to deserving students. For the year 2025, the scope has expanded—students scoring 80% or above in the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2025 conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) are now eligible, irrespective of gender.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Free Scooty Scheme 2025
To be eligible under the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025, students must meet the following conditions:

Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Academic Requirement: Must have secured 80% or more marks in the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2025 (ASSEB).

Betterment/Reappearance: Students appearing for betterment or reappearance are not eligible.

Outside Assam Students: Students studying outside Assam are eligible only if they possess a valid PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) of Assam.
How to Apply for Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2025?
There is no need for a separate application for the Pragyan Bharati Scheme 2025. In the earlier phase (2020), an online application portal was available. However, now the merit list is auto-generated based on the academic data provided by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).
Students do not need to fill any offline or online forms to apply.
